PAIS Lab Seminar: Eugeny Mistyukov and Ivan Shugurov

At the session of PAIS Lab seminar were presented two talks by the research assistants of the Lab.
Talk by E. Mistyukov - Log-based transition system recovery.
Talk of I. Shugurov - GENA: Generator of artificial event logs. Current state of work.

Log-based transition system recovery

E. Mistyukov (bachelor student at HSE Faculty of Computer Science)

Despite the large amount of information and studies in process mining, and, in particular, the Petri nets, there has been a significant gap in research dealing with recovery of event logs. The aim of work is to present a way of incomplete log recovery based on a transition system constructed from the initial log. To solve this problem, new theory based on Petri net synthesis algorithm will be presented. As a final result, specific ProM plugin will be created.

GENA: Generator of artificial event logs. Current state of work

I. Shugurov (bachelor student at HSE Faculty of Computer Science)

Artificial event logs are essential for developing and testing new process mining algorithms. Because of this reason developing of the GENA tool started in the end of 2013. Since that time, features and implementation of the tool have changed dramatically due to feedback received from users. Presentation will include thorough explanation of currently available features and description of the tool architecture as well as plans for future improvements.
