At the session of our seminar, Sergey Politsyn (Lecturer at NRU HSE) delivered a report "Analysis of information structure and modeling of software development process".

Abstract:
Estimation of time, resources, and budget required for iplementation of projects is a challenge for development teams. These estimates are typically rough. In this talk a process of converting information is described and a mathematical model of the process tasks, designed to solve planning problems in software development projects, is provided. The proposed method of forecasting a progress of the software development allows for quite precise estimation of probability of delays.
