PAIS Lab seminar: prof. Jose Carmona Vargas
Josep Carmona is an associate professor at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain), where he obtained his PhD in 2004. His current research interests are formal methods, process mining, concurrent systems and machine learning. In the context of process mining, Josep has focused on the one hand in discovery using several theories (theory of regions, numerical abstract domains, satisfiability), and on the other hand in novel techniques for conformance checking. Recently he has focused on the usage of process mining, either by recommendation or by proposing scripting environments to automate process mining tasks.
