SDL (Security Development Lifecycle) is a software development process that helps developers build more secure software and address security compliance requirements while reducing development cost. Source code analysis is very important SDL practice used on implementation and verification steps.
Binary analysis is useful for analyzing software programs at their low-level (executable) form when the source code is not available. One of the best tools for code analysis is HP Fortify.
This talk will cover the detailed description of
- implementation binary analysis technics for HP Fortify,
- HP Fortify tool for static source code analysis,
- HP Fortify and SDL.
